This Privacy Policy explains how Lake County Electronics LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as KookooBox (“KookooBox,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you visit our websites (including kookoobox.com), use our mobile applications, and use our related products and services (collectively, the “Service”).
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.

2) What We Do (Overview)
KookooBox helps users create and manage phone and email aliases and related inbox and communication features. The Service may receive and transmit communications (including SMS/MMS and email) to and from alias identifiers and may provide tools to organize, filter, and manage those communications.
3) Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the Service.
3.1 Information you provide to us
We may collect:
- Account information, such as your email address and, if you choose, a device name or other account-related settings.
- Optional profile information, such as a business name, title, or signature if you enable work or “Pro Services” features (if available).
- Support communications, such as information you provide when you contact us (including any attachments you send).
3.2 Alias and communications information
To provide the Service, we may process:
- Alias information, such as alias phone numbers and alias email addresses you create or use through the Service, and related configuration (labels, settings, status such as active/disabled/burned).
- Communications content and metadata sent to or from an alias through the Service. This may include message content, sender and recipient information, timestamps, delivery or error information, and, where supported, attachments or media.
- Consent and suppression signals, such as opt-out requests (for example, STOP/HELP), blocking/suppression settings, and related audit logs used to comply with carrier and legal requirements and to prevent abuse.
3.3 Information we collect automatically (usage, device, and logs)
When you use the Service, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:
- Device and app information, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and language settings.
- Push notification data, such as a device push token used to deliver notifications (for example, via Apple Push Notification service).
- Log and security information, such as IP address, timestamps, request identifiers, and diagnostic events used for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
3.4 Website information
We do not currently collect personal information through public website forms such as a waitlist, newsletter, or contact form, because those forms are not currently offered on kookoobox.com.
We do not currently run website analytics or advertising pixels.
Like most websites and hosting providers, our website and infrastructure may still process basic server and security logs (for example, IP address, browser type, timestamps, and requested pages) as reasonably necessary for security, operations, and reliability.
3.5 Information from third parties
We may receive information from third parties in connection with operating the Service, such as:
- Messaging and carrier providers (for example, delivery status and routing information needed to send/receive SMS/MMS).
- Email infrastructure providers (for example, information needed to receive or deliver email to alias addresses).
- App stores and subscription platforms (for example, confirmation that you have an active subscription). We do not receive your full payment card information from Apple when you purchase through Apple In-App Purchase.
4) How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including creating and managing aliases, routing communications, and displaying messages and inbox features.
- Maintain safety and security, including preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing rate limits, honoring opt-outs/suppressions, and protecting the integrity of our systems and networks.
- Communicate with you, including by email for service-related messages such as login links/codes, security notices, password-reset information, and support responses.
- Improve and debug the Service, including monitoring performance, fixing errors, and developing new features.
- Comply with law and enforce our terms, including responding to legal process and investigating potential violations.
KookooBox does not currently send first-party SMS/MMS for login codes, password resets, or recurring account alerts. SMS/MMS functionality in the Service is currently limited to user-initiated alias messaging and related replies.
5) How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information as follows:
5.1 Service providers and infrastructure
We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Service, such as providers for messaging delivery, email delivery/receipt, hosting, storage, monitoring, and customer support. These providers are authorized to process information on our behalf and under our instructions.
5.2 Message routing and delivery
If you send or receive SMS/MMS or email through the Service, information (including sender/recipient identifiers and content) will be transmitted through relevant networks and providers to deliver communications.
5.3 Legal, safety, and compliance
We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- protect the rights, safety, and security of KookooBox, our users, or others; or
- enforce our agreements and policies.
5.4 Business transfers
We may disclose information in connection with an actual or contemplated merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of some or all of our business or assets.
5.5 With your direction
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.
5.6 No sale of personal information; mobile opt-in data
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share or disclose mobile phone numbers, SMS/MMS opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, or enforce our policies.
6) Your Choices
Depending on how you use the Service, you may be able to:
- Update or delete information through the Service, where available.
- Request account deletion by contacting us at support@kookoobox.com.
- Manage communications by adjusting in-app settings, where available.
- Opt out of receiving texts by replying STOP to an SMS message sent through the Service, where applicable. For help, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply.
- Disable push notifications through your device settings.
- Disable optional crash/diagnostic sharing through in-app settings, where available.
7) Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain security and operational records. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is processed.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9) Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, contact us at support@kookoobox.com.
10) U.S. State Privacy Disclosures (Summary)
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to request access to, deletion of, or correction of certain personal information we maintain about you, and to opt out of certain processing in some circumstances. To submit a request, contact support@kookoobox.com. We will verify your request consistent with applicable law.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11) International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice, for example by updating the “Last Updated” date, posting a notice on our website, or providing in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after the update becomes effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
